Catching Lightbulbs

Toy Explosion

OK, just have to say, I LOVE the new lens. Awesome to be able to get shots like this without being all in your subject's face. I think it's cool how you see the motion in her leg and the black/white gives it a classic feel.

Setting Sun From a Moving Car
I took this pic from the car while I was driving. (They say don't TEXT and drive, nothing about shooting photos while driving) Anyhow, I like the distinct contrasts between the light and the dark with the sun as the focus. Just looking at it, you aren't quite sure exactly what is going on. Mystery is fun.

Hooray for New Equipment!
Got a new zoom lens for the camera and was playing around with it. Looks like it will definitely be worth the $. Especially now that we can, "make the background fuzzy with the subject focused," as my wife said. In all seriousness, it will be cool to play with the f-stops to make some great pics by manipulating the depth of field.
